Waternish, Skye, 14 May 1883 - Malcolm Mckinnon

MALCOLM M 'KINNON, Crofter, Geary (60)—examined.

3470. The Chairman.
—Have you been freely chosen a delegate?
— Yes

3471. You came from the same township as M'Diarmid, who was last examined ?
—Yes. I have nothing to say. He has told everything himself. One thing is that the people are so poor that unless they get assistance from Government they could not rise more than they are.

3472. Sir Kenneth Mackenzie.
—Assistance in the way of land ?
—Yes. But if they would get help, they would pay it back again.
